Its that time of year…

It was 70 something today in NC. Beautiful and sunny and completely incompatible with neurology studying. I took a 45 min nap outside on a blanket which was more than lovely. One small problem. I had removed my hearing aides before the nap. I neglected to remember that until after I was inside with the blanket put away. Thus I spent and around 10 mins on my hands and knees crawling around in the dirt looking for my 1300 dollar appendages. Its a wonder sometimes that I make it through life as well as I do…

Its the time of year where no matter how hard I try, I can’t study to save my life. Its warm and sunny and my joints are creaking from the long winter hibernation and I want to run and swim and climb a tree and in general be about 5 yrs. old instead of the 22 yr. old medical student that I am. I keep finding fun ways to procrastinate like doing prep work for my trip this summer which could have totally waited till at least April.

Everyone I know right now is either like me unable to study and/or questioning their life path (particularly people in grad schools), really upset because their plans didn’t work out (its also Admissions letter season) or madly in love (my roommates minus the canine one and several others). Seriously Spring Fever is upon us and I think it might be rapidly reaching epidemic proportions. Quick, someone call the health department…kidding.
oh and PS I hate the brain. I really do. Its my least favorite organ ever. Again I have the maturity and attention span of a 5 yr. old.

oh and in case you missed the memo, the wrist is fine, I have a ugly scar and 10 stitches. But no more pain. Typing is working out fine, the wheelchair is a little rough because the stitches are across the palm. But they will come out soon.
